Prevention Summit etc.

Prevention Summit!

October 29th through the 30th a small group of our team went to Yakima to the Fall Prevention Summit to recieve an Exemplary Youth Volunteer Award. We went to workshops during the two days we were there, learned about making positive choices, and did a service project at an elementary school.
At the school we cleaned and painted walls, swept leaves, and painted foursquare courts outside. It was a wonderful expirience for our team to work together and help make positive changes in other counties.
The night before halloween there was an amazing dance, movie, board games, and henna tattoos. We all had a blast and danced until we could barely move.

Last night (9/23) 4 youth presented their project and resolution to the Sedro-Woolley City Council. The resolution, urging Sedro-Woolley retailers to voluntarily reduce their alcohol advertisements by 30%, PASSED! Great Job!
